How can I pay for college?

management = MBA = lots of money for school

think Smeal also

Business with chemistry minor would be good - look into Susquehanna’s Simon Weiss School of Business. You could get decent merit money.

Drexel may be a good pick since you’d have a lot of work experience and it’s within your price range if you get some merit money.

Susquehanna is a little TOO close to home, haha. I actually did look briefly into Drexel, I think I’ll go back and take a better look, though.

What about Pitt?

You have tons of affordable options. Explore those.

To work your way up into the management side of R&D, I think a PhD might be req’d.

Northeastern in Boston is similar to Drexel but OOS :)

University of redlands is a bit like Susquehanna, except in California (and their business program is not AACSB accredited)

CalPOly SLO may be perfect for you if you can get into Orfalea. (Cal Poly Pomona is less selective than SLO and still good both for science and business)

Quinnipiac, U of Harford, AmericanU (reach), Barry (safety), Berry ( safety), DePaul, Butler, Purdue, Valparaiso, Bellarmine, Tulane (reach), University of MD- Baltimore (safety), Millsaps, Saint Louis University, Creighton, Fordham, Ithaca, RIT, SUNY Geneseo, U Rochester, Appalachian State (safety), Elon, North Carolina State, UNC-Asheville, UNC-Wilmington (beach !:p), Willamette, Duquesne, Lehigh (reach), Villanova, West Chester, College of Charleston, Trinity (TX), BYU, Christopher Newport, George Mason, James Madison, U Richmond, Pacific Lutheran, Marquette, Western Washington U (safety), UW-Eau Claire (safety).

Here, you now have a list of universities basically in every state, with about half that should match you and the rest divided between safeties and reaches. Happy reading!

Wow, thanks so much for that list!! I just have one question: what made you classify the reaches as reaches?

OP,

$30-40k per year means $120k-$160k for 4 years. You understand that is a lot a lot of money that your parents are giving you for free. Go home, give your parents a hug and a kiss, thank them for their generosity.

The list of colleges you orginally listed are difficult to get in for most students. You might not get in even if you can afford them.

Now come up with a realistic list of colleges. A list with 2/3 reaches, 2/3 matches, 2/3 safeties based both on your stat and budget.

As someone who actually works in pharma I can assure you that BS will not be sufficient for your career goals. You would need at least MS, most likely PhD or MBA, or a combination of these degrees. With BS the best you can do is working at a bench.
Temple is actually a well known and regarded school for an industry. Drexel us well regarded too. Take a good look at these schools.
