<p>I have a low (3.6) GPA and 2300 SAT. I took over 7 APs (and 9 tests) though and I got 5 on every single test. But my average grade in those classes was a B+. I also got some even lower grades in some particularly boring regular classes (C- in 9th grade science). I know colleges see this and think "this student didn't apply himself", but I'm really not a slacker. I just can't put up with doing pointless work. It's not that I'm content just sitting back and coasting on high test and quiz scores, it's that 90% of the time, doing the homework really is of no value to me. But I don't know how to write this in a college essay, there're lots of people making excuses for their grades and mine would be tantamount to criticizing the high school system. Has anyone had success with this kind of write up? This really is the actual reason, I hate slackers just as much as the next guy.</p>
