How close were your plan tests scores to your actual ACT score?

Hello everyone on College Confidential. The correlation was pretty good. The PLAN projected me between 33-36, and I have a 30 (but I’m not a junior yet, so I still have time, thankfully!). Our school forces… eh, makes us–no–persuades us to take it in freshman year. Did I say everything correctly oh, Great Superintendent?

I have to have some fun when making a post…

Excuse the ignorance, but what is the PLAN and where does it come from?

Hello everyone on College Confidential.
roderick, the PLAN is a national standardized test usually taken in sophomore year of high school. The ACT company gives out this test to allow you to see how well you will do on the ACT. It has NO value except for allowing one to see what areas they might struggle on in the ACT. Think of it like the PSAT for the ACT.

Well said.^

Hello everyone on College Confidential. Thanks for the compliment sstewart.

I got a 32 on the PLAN test and missed one question, in science. However, both my science and reading subscores were 31, even though I got 100% on the reading portion. Does anyone know why this is?

Also, my projected range was 33-35. Why can’t I get a 36?

What makes you think that you can’t?

I got a 24 on the practice test, and a 26 on the real thing. Worst thing was that even though my writing score increased dramatically, my math score seemed to keep me down no matter what.
Science - 24
Reading - 30
Writing - 30
Math - 19

…yeah. two weeks of math studying for a 19. -_-
