<p>Layers. Many layerable clothes items. Winters aren't substantially different from elsewhere in the Northeast. I'm from Jersey.</p>
<p>yeah, but winters in cornell are.... "substantially" different from those in california. i dont think my board shorts will cut it :(</p>

<p>scarves are a must. they will keep your nose, ears, face, and anything else that's not under a coat from falling off. </p>
<p>but as for level of coldness, it's not that much different from the rest of the northeast. you're just outside more, so some people think it's colder.</p>
<p>when does it start to get cold.. cold like winter jacket cold, not like brisk fall cold</p>
<p>I've also heard that chemistry lab goggles are great during blizzards.</p>
