Does that mean that the yield is quite low! And good for the waitlisters! My son is waitlisted and that would be nice. Any thoughts on the theory?

No it’s means not a lot of people joined the group. They will not be taking 1,600 from the Waitlist…

Sorry, but I really don’t think it means anything. A lot of students probably don’t even know that the page/group even exists, a lot of people probably don’t care, and remember that there are people who don’t even have facebook accounts.

The class of 2015 facebook group currently only has around 1,100 students, so virtually half the class isn’t in it.

Impossible to use FB as the gauge for who is committing. My son only signed on the dotted line this evening (and I provided the 500 clams) and then joined the FB page. Good news is he’s now turned down a lot of other great universities who with hope will take students off their wait lists. I’m a very grateful Eagle Mum and wish you the best of luck as you wait out this next trial by fire. (Regardless, your child must commit to somewhere by tomorrow!)

There is a Boston College Class of 2016 FB page with just under 1400 members.

The one I see has 697 members

[The Official Boston College Class of 2016 | Facebook](http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Official-Boston-College-Class-of-2016/240164182704122)

It may have 697, but it makes no difference. It’s just not that popular so far.

My son joined the FB page “Boston College Class of 2016”, which has about 1400 members. I asked him about “The Official Official Boston College of 2016” page and he said not many people use it…for what it worth.

Perhaps because there is not much value in such FB pages? :)

I agree w/SFBayAreaDad. My son is on the page with the greater number of students. He generally stays away from FB, but has actually been active on BC Class of 2016 for the past two days since becoming an official Eagle.
