How do colleges look at SAT Scores?!?

I'm applying to these schools:

UCB, UCLA, UCI, UCSD, Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Columbia, Vanderbilt, Northwestern, Johns Hopkins, USC, WashU, Cornell, Duke, Rice, Pomona College

Do they all look at superscores, meaning best scores from multiple sittings?

I have superscore of 2310...

But best one sitting is 2200.

i have friends in the same situation. I think they look at individual, but i think composite has to be from one siting. I've taken it once and have a 2200, so i'm not really sure.

I think they look at superscores. But, really, it's favorable to have a high one sitting.

The UC's do not "superscore", they look at your one best sitting.

The point of superscoring is to pick your best individual scores from all your sittings.

Dude, that's a lot of colleges...

Since your pretty much just picked the top 20, I can't really say which school superscore and which do not.

I can tell you that a lot will reject you if they find out that you're trying to get into all those schools at once.

15 to 18 applications is not so rare anymore, however, IMO, it is still a sign of desperation.

Some people say Northwestern does not superscore either.

Someone confirm this.

i'm not just picking top 20....
I've personally visited 17 of them and like them all..

i meant most of them...

You must do your homework and find the best fit. If you had to list them in order of preference, how would they stand?

I did my homework; I have two three-inch binders full of materials and article about the colleges. I have read them at least three times over.

My preference has to be from most to least interest:

Stanford, Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Northwestern, UC Berkleey, Pomona, UCLA, USC, Vanderbilt, Cornell, UCSD, UCI
