How do grades work?

Hey, I was just wondering if anyone knows Cornell's grading system. Mainly, do they grade on a bell curve? I was just curious and couldn't seem to find the answer anywhere. :-)

Some are curved (typically the science ones) and some aren't.

Oh, ok. So, then, I take it Cornell doesn't use a bell curve system (i.e., only a certain number of A's are allowed)?

You'll never get a perfect bell curve but the curve will be close to a bell curve. You want science classes to be curved because without curves, no one would get A's. How else can you get an A by scoring 75%?

id say the majority doesn't curve on bells.

Thanks! I was just worried because a friend mentioned that some Ivy League schools use a pretty harsh bell curve, and I wanted to be sure Cornell isn't one of them. :-)

cornell's harsher than harvard, that's for sure. =</p>

LOL i dont know about that but the curved classes are usually big science classes!! If you aren't taking those it doesn't really matter. Those science classes like bio, chem, orgo are curved to B-.
