How do I check my University at Buffalo application status?

they sent me a letter with my ID or person number or something, but it had no directions on how to check my status. how do i do so? must I call up the admissions office?

…anybody? lol

I found this for checking your status if you applied thru UB application:

https://www.suny.edu/student/status_checker/status_checker_start.cfm

Not sure where to look if you submitted common app.

Call them! I just had to do that for my DS. who had gotten a letter in Dec saying his SAT scores were missing. Very helpful people who cleared up a discrepancy in his application. Letters are expected to be sent out first week of March.

I think D will explode if she has to wait until the first week of March. I’m so hopeful for her that I secretly went ahead and booked a hotel for the admitted students day in March.

Last kid going off to college! I’m doing the happy dance already.

As I remember, there was no way to check app status last year (D applied via Common App though). They said to expect decision first week in March but her letter was sent 2/18. I think she applied the first week in December.

Good luck to all! How’s the apartment hunting going, Neonzeus?

SK8R-

They’re just about to start the hunt, and are still determined to take the dog to Buffalo. They say that there are so many apts that they don’t expect to have any problem finding someplace suitable. They don’t plan on looking around South campus due to safety concerns, even though one of them will have some classes there.

I’m planning a trip up there sometime in March and told them that I want to see their choices by then.

Hope your D had a great first semester!

So if I have applied via the Common App I won’t be able to check my application status?

As I remember, UB sent an email or letter last year confirming they had received the app. This was followed by a phone call from a student asking if my D had any questions about UB. Finally, the decision letter came.

If you haven’t received confirmation that they have your app, you could call. You can check with your GC to make sure everything else was sent too. Otherwise, if you know everything has been sent, just relax and wait for a decision. They won’t give decisions over the phone.

If you applied to University at Buffalo, you should check out this thread

you will get a letter saying that all your materials are in. if you wanted to you could check the admissions website, find the representative from your area and email them. they will give you a general estimate on how much more time it will take.

check out this link as well:

[UB Undergraduate Admissions: Contact Us](http://admissions.buffalo.edu/contact/index.php)

when you log in it says for questions regarding your admissions status please contact the campus directly

oh okay well i would just email your admissions rep and ask… it doesn’t hurt just say you are still very interested and looking forward to hearing from them soon.
