I got in the 85th percentile for the last SSAT and I have been studying more vocabulary words. I got a 95% on my math, a 90% on my reading and a 60% on my verbal. What is an efficient way to study for verbal and do well?
The verbal part of the SSAT is more of a measure of how well you memorise stuff. Most prep books will have word lists. Try to learn as many as you can. Many people like to use Quizlet.
Verbal is the easiest section to raise, so get going!
I would definitely take plenty of verbal section tests, in books, on the official ssat practice, and varsity prep also has tons of free tests. I would look at what words you miss on these, and study those as well. Just studying vocab isn’t the only thing that will help you! Good luck!
