576 is MASSIVE. My big lecture is 85-90 people and my professor doesnt know people. Its intro to poli sci so its not that all intro classes need to be huge. Certainly classes shouldnt be over 350-400, 576 is just ridiculous. But i would have to say the best way would be to go up to him after class and maybe hope that he has some free time then and that he wouldnt mind talking to you for 10-15 minutes...

psych 101 at cornell = 1300+ students.

it's so much fun though. and i never feel like it's too impersonal.

Your college is relevant to this crisis because at UMich pwns all other schools. Mmhmm...

But, seriously, I love lecture, we've got like 480-ish kids in psych lecture, and it's AWESOME. The rest of my classes are small (20-30 people), so in psych i can just sit back and relax and not have to think about participating. I don't know how it is for you, but we have discussion sections of about 30 people each, and the GSI is responsible for 25% of our grade... the otehr 75% is exam based, so basically all we have to do is study for the exams and make friends with the GSI... if you need reccomendation letters, try to get to know a professor that teaches one of your smaller classes... if they even have those at MSU :P

My poli sci 101 course only has about 35-40 people in it. It's great. :)
