I’ve been on other message boards and I get an e-mail notification if someone posts on a subscribed thread. Is that possible with CC? If so, please tell me how to do that. Thanks.
If you go to your user control panel and look to the left, you will see options such as ‘your profile’ and ‘networking’. Under Settings and Options there is a link called “edit options”. Once you click that, scroll down a little to the section titled messaging and notification. There are options that allow you to choose when you receive emails for post replies and PM’s and all things of that sort.

gemini18, when you post a thread you either have to post in quick reply then go up on the upper right area and click on thread controls and there you can subscribe to a thread and get notifications. Or when you do a regular reply, it says under the box you posted in the option to click how often you want to be notified under Notification type. Make sure it says instant.
That being said, in the past 2-3 weeks, I have not been getting all my notifications and I have let the webmaster know. I think there may be some problems they are working on.
If you go to My Control Panel (far left in that thick blue line) you can see the threads you subscribed to and which ones have new postings.

There is a “New Thread” button above the list of threads (left margin).
Is it near the “Discussion Menu” list on the left hand side?
To the right of that. Just above where it says, “Threads in: XXX Forum.” Below the list of “Featured Discussions.”
It has a little blue C and red C in the same box that says “New Thread”. You can only start a new thread from the main section of any forum. So you cannot start one once you are inside a thread like from here.
