How do I go about getting my medication if I decide to go to graduate school abroad?

I’m on humira which is a specialty injection medication and two other pill med. I want to study in Scotland.

When you apply for your student visa you pay a health care surcharge (~£300 iirc). You are then covered on the NHS. Bring your prescriptions from your US Dr, and go see the local GP (your uni will have info on that during orientation).

Bring a months supply with you in case there are any hiccups in getting started.

Ps, just read your other thread. If you have trouble staying focused and motivated when schoolwork seems dull or pointless be cautious about looking internationally- they assume v high levels of self-discipline, and courses are often very structured.

I would talk to the doctors you have in the US and ask if he/she has any advice.

NB, you might be prescribed a generic alternative rather than humira itself: https://www.england.nhs.uk/2018/10/nhs-set-to-save-150-million-by-switching-to-new-versions-of-most-costly-drug/
