How do I look for UNC:CH?

<p>So here is one more annoying chance me thread but I thought I might as well post it anyways and see if some of the wonderful members on this forum would take the time to write a little squib about it! </p>

<p>Before the stats, I would like to say 1) I am outta state, from Georgia (but #2 HS in state) and 2) My older brother applied in fall 2011 and he was deffered (although ultimately was declined). My stats are much better than my brother's were. 3) I am Hispanic. 4) I can use my vacation home in Wilmington beach as my "home address"</p>

<p>I am a Junior:
GPA UW: 3.92 W: 4.42
SAT 1910 (however taking ACT in a month and have been studying)
SAT II: Bio 700 French 770 Math II 660
APs when I graduate: 10 + 1 self Study (Psych)
Class rank top 10% (though toughest school in state)</p>

Honors Accelerated Geometry (9th and 10th grade math combined) - A</p>

Spent a month shadowing a surgeon at a hospital (outside of my Internship from school)

-This is where a very limited number of students (12 for french) are selected in the entire state (About 3million High Schoolers) to participate in a 4week summer camp run by the Governor's Office for study and research in your subject.</p>

Not written yet but I assure they'll be pretty awesome. Got perfect score on state graduation writing test and get 8/9 on all my AP lang essays.</p>

<p>Work Experience:
Started a lawn care company (officially a company) with 4 employees.
Internship
Worked for 6 in marketing for a Programming firm.</p>

<p>Great stats-why wouldn’t you claim in state status if you have a home in NC? I dont know what the state residency rules are, but I would check. Make sure your essays are stellar. My son applied EA (OOS) and is awaiting his decision in the next 1-2weeks.</p>

<p>This likely won’t help. The residency form does a good job of eliminating those who aren’t bona fide residents.</p>
