How do I save up money?

Alright so I have my eyes set on this college, however I realize that this college is probably one of the most expensive ones in te United States. Currently I have saved up some money because I am currently working part-time, but most of it is going to my current schooling and now my family might loose their house because of unexpected events and are asking me for rediculous amounts of money. I have good enough grades that I might be able to get a scholarship but it won't change the fact that I need about $200,000.0 in order to pay for this school, preferably beforehand. Yeah, the school is need based but I want enough money just in case.

Try the net price calculator for Reed College to see how much money you will probably get if you get in.
If you want to save up money, just don’t spend it? Or, maybe try investing, not sure.

Hi @AlanofTrebon‌, this is Swati from the Reed admission office. I agree that the Net Price Calculator is a really excellent resource, and you can find a link to it here: <a href=“Costs & Financial Aid - Admission - Reed College”>http://reed.edu/apply/costs.html</a>. Once you’ve taken a look at that, you might consider contacting our Office of Financial Aid. They work with all students to help make Reed affordable for them, so they might be able to point in the direction of some outside scholarships and other resources. You can call them (800/547-4750, option 1), or e-mail them (financial.aid@reed.edu). They also have a website of outside resources you might take advantage of: http://www.reed.edu/financialaid/outside_scholarships.html</a>.</p>
