I have heard that the AP Chem teacher next year is going to be very bad and he was a low pass rate( usually 2s) and I was wondering what I could do to still get a good understanding of Chemistry. I really want to get a 5 or at least a 4 on the AP Chem test.

^Find a good text/prep book and study on your own, and you’ll be fine. If you have the drive and the patience to teach yourself, you honestly won’t need to depend on the teacher.

Practice the FRQ, my AP Chem was also crap, beyond crap. I am confident with a 4 though.

I understood chemistry quite well by reading the textbook.

When I was preparing for the exam, I read through an ap-specific textbook not used as the class’s textbook and PR and practiced the FR on ap central.

Unless you’re VERY good at self-studying chemistry, then you can’t.

That’s why teachers exist.

My AP Chem teacher next year is new, so I don’t know what to expect. However, it doesn’t mean that we can’t get 5’s. We will just have to study independently to make up for the teacher and ensure a high score. It’ll be a real chore, but not impossible.
