I’m 2nd year Undergrad in Indian College,I’d like to transfer to U.S but i don’t have any SAT scores,TOEFL or IELTS and these exams start from April but Transfer deadline for most universities is March 1?
How do I manage to get into University?
Please anyone answer!
@rohithreddy It might be too late at this point - standardized tests are often required as part of a transfer application, in addition to strong grades, letters of recommendation, and other possible factors.
If you are really serious about studying in the US, you may either want to wait until next semester/year to transfer, or finish your bachelor’s in India and apply to some graduate programs in the US. Note that it can be extremely difficult to get admitted at many places as a transfer.
@MITer94 Is it bad idea to take SAT,IELTS tests now and apply for transfer next year?
@MITer94 What do you say?
@spayurpets @goldenbear2020 @CDK @NickFlynn @Corinthian @grandscheme What’s your opinion?
@rohithreddy Where do you want to study, and why?
If you apply next year as a transfer, there may be other restrictions. For example, MIT requires that you have completed no more than 2 1/2 years of study at your current institution. You should check each colleges’ website for admission requirements.
However, the bigger question is, where and why? If you can’t answer these questions, then I don’t suggest applying as a transfer.
