<p>I recently won an award but I already sent in my application. How do I update colleges?</p>
<p>You can send an email to the general admissions committee email address [if there is one], else find an admissions officer’s email address and send to him/her. If you have applied early decision or action (or it is a rolling decision college), then you will probably want to update the committee with this award ASAP. If you are applying regular decision (meaning you apply by January 1 or so, and hear by April 1), then there is not too much of a rush – and you might have other awards coming in, so you can put them together in one email.</p>
<p>Alternatively, your guidance (school) counselor can perhaps inform the college(s) of your award when s/he sends your first quarter grades to colleges.</p>
