How do Ivy Admissions view Autism/LD?

My SAT score is at the exact average (1500/2400) without accomodations. I hold an A average, and I'm in the top 10%. However, it was a goal that was a tedious journey. My portfolio of extracirriculars is varied and colorful yet focused on the sciences and community service.

The University of California prompt asked me to describe my world, and I did. My opening sentence, "My world is like a vibrating string, reverberating throughout the corridors of my mind in unique patterns." I then discussed how my world, autism, shaped my aspirations and goals. I ended with a statement of why I wanted to attend the school: "I want to learn of worlds other than my own" Within two weeks I heard from UC Riverside by email with an acceptance. I feel very strong about the school, and they feel the same way by sending me information, kudos, and offers.

Then there are the schools my father made me apply to such as UC Santa Barbara, UC Berkley, and UC San Diego. I think they are top notch, but I'm not sure how they will view someone like me. I'm not sure if they will see a below average student or a passionate, experienced person who struggled through much adversary and managed good results.

What are your views?

try to apply anyway. I don't have autism like you, but I have a physical disability (deafness) where I had to work my way through high school to acheive high results. I had applied to MIT, Caltech, and Uchicago EA.

I was accepted into MIT, and deferred at the other two. I am also interested in the sciences and mathematics too.

so, apply anyway and see what happens.
