How do the admissions officers view applications?

Does anyone know if they view them on the computer, or if the application is printed out and passed around that way. What about the paper copy of the transcript and letters of recommendation? Are these scanned and added to a computer file, or are they viewed in their original paper form? Just sort of curious as to how the process works! :) Thanks!

back when I was there (2-3 years ago) it was on paper. But who knows with this budget thing.

if u submit online, i can’t imagine them printing it out and then reading it…
same idea with paper apps, don’t think they’ll take the extra step to scan it and read it
think about how many apps they have to go through

I think they have a projector in the room and project the app on the screen.

also, each individual college reviews its apps. Some get much more than others.

So if my daughter wanted to submit an activities resume (she has extensive ec’s relating to her intended college/major) would it be better to upload it as a part of the application (which is what I think, because it immediately supports her application) or should the resume be sent from the guidance office on nice resume paper, included as part of the package that includes transcript and recs (which is what the guidance counselor thinks), or both, as my daughter suggested, which I think is a bit obnoxious.

It doesn’t matter. All documents are scanned. I’m 100% sure…

Thanks! I had a feeling all documents were scanned.
