How do the Barron's Chemistry SAT Prep compare with the actual test?

I tried the Barron’s AP Chem prep book, and found that it was much harder than the actual test. Are Barron’s normally harder than the test? Or was the AP Chem just an exception?

I took the Chemistry SAT II last weekend and I can tell you this much: the Barron’s, as always, was far too challenging. Obviously I don’t know what I scored yet, but the Barron’s taught me a BUNCH of stuff that wasn’t on the test. They stressed tons of memorization when the test focused largely on application rather than recall. Despite popular opinion, I believe that the Princeton SAT Chem review book is the best one out there. I didn’t feel overprepared, I just felt like I prepped for a completely different test. Luckily I still feel confident about my score because I made use of the released SAT 2 Chemistry exams and the Princeton review book
