Deferred!
Did anyone get in?

I got in!

Vibes to everyone else. The process still has a long way to go.

What are the chances of getting in when you’re deferred? We still have a shot right?!

My son was deferred. Deferral does not mean rejection, however, it means you are put into in the much larger “regular decision” pool of applicants. Since Colby’s application increased this year over last by approximately 1,000, the odds are tougher.

To my son’s credit, after receiving the deferral, he contacted the coach at another school that was recruiting him heavily and it looks like he is going to go there. In the words of the Rolling Stones, you can’t always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, well you might find, you get what you need. In my words, Colby is great school but there are other great schools out there. If you get in great. If you do not, don’t beat yourself up over it. Move on as life is long. Good luck everyone.
