How do you figure out the general size of courses out there?

I prefer smaller-size, more interactive classes.
So besides the obvious huge classes
(econ and math),
how can you find out the class-size for other courses?

If it says seminar, it's what you're looking for. Also, many times a maximum class size is listed, which can give you an idea.

you can't really, you have to go by maximum class size. just ask around, older kids / departments will generally be able to tell you

In the registrar website, you can find the maximum size for all courses. Courses usually tend to be around the maximum size (or else they would adjust the maximum size).

If that's not enough, you can look in the course review site. There you can find how many people were enrolled based on survey result response rates. For example, for each course it'll give you the number of responses to the survey based on the number of total enrollment.

ooh good answer

hells yes, Penn Course Review.
