When you first saw your dream school could you just feel it's the place for you? Do most people get that feeling somewhere?

Honestly, I was attracted to the place I went to because I liked the architecture. That’[s a pretty arbitrary reason; in fact, many of the things that prospective students just “feel” are quite arbitrary. (The class is “I liked the tour guide” - face it; you are the tour guide will not likely be hanging out together if you go to that school.) It’s better to make an objective assessment of possible colleges before you visit and then use the visit to see if there are any reasons that you couldn’t be comfortable there. Otherwise, you might be unduly influenced by the happy laughter of a small group walking in front of you and make the assumption that the whole campus is filled with bubbly, happy people.
