Anyone know how CC ranks their schools on the colleges subgroup. It has Colgate in the “Top Liberal Arts Colleges”, but not Bucknell. Is Bucknell really considered a step down? Really curious as to participants thought. Thanks.

the colleges on that list mostly follow the usnews rankings with some curious exceptions. i understand making one for reed, but bucknell (which looks like the first school 'out') should definitely be listed over kenyon and whitman and could be listed over several others. the average colgate student does have a somewhat higher verbal sat score, but when i was deciding where to attend they ultimately seemed like very similar institutions. a few other people on my freshman hall picked bucknell over colgate, as well.

Hi Ericatbucknell,

Thanks for the feedback. I'm glad to hear you agree that Colgate and Bucknell are pretty comparable schools. That's what we figured. Do you think a girl who is fashionable, but not a prep will fit in? She also likes to have funny, party, but with a natural high---no drugs, etc. Are students that don't partake in drinking, etc. considered losers?

Thanks,
