How does Financial Aid work for transfers?

<p>Hi,</p>

<p>I'm currently attending a university w/ great financial aid. I'm considering transferring to possibly Cornell or NYU for this coming fall. I've read that financial aid can be limited to transfer students, but by how much? Will it just break my heart to hope that I'll get the similar amount of financial aid from either colleges?</p>

<p>Cornell has great FA for all undergrads. I'm almost certain that admission is need-blind.</p>

<p>NYU is known for some of the worst FA packages out there. Princeton Review ranked it #1 in the "Students dissatisfied with financial aid" list. Might be tough for a transfer.</p>
