How does Score Choice work

I’m applying to quite a few different schools. A few of them do not allow the use of score choice for the SAT. but they say nothing about Subject tests. I was wondering how SAT score choice applied to SAT IIs.

University of Maryland College Park says they require all SAT scores, so do I have to send my SAT IIs as well?
Johns Hopkins says they don’t participate in score choice, but can i decide to send an ACT and not sen ANY SATs?

Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Yes for JHU. https://apply.jhu.edu/apply/exams/

UMCP is much less clear on their web site. I would just send an E-Mail.

UMDCP does not require SAT II scores

Neither UMaryland nor JHU are anti-score choice. You can send whatever SAT scores you want to send. Like many colleges they encourage or recommend sending all SAT scores because they superscore SAT tests but that does not amount to any requirement that you send all scores. Also, UMaryland does not even use SAT subject tests to determine admission.

For a list of colleges that actually have any kind of rule requiring you to provide all scores, see my post in this thread:
