How does the Honors & Accelerated Science course go in your school?

9: Biology, Chemistry
10: AP Biology, Chemistry Honors, Physics
11: AP Chemistry, AP Physics B, AP Physics C, APES
12: No new classes offered
I listed the classes that are offered STARTING in that year. For example, you can still take Chemistry Honors as a junior or senior even though it’s offered as a class starting sophomore year. Also, you can only take one science class per year.

9: Honors Biology
10: Honors Chemistry
11: AP Chemistry, Honors Physics
12: AP Biology, AP Environmental,

Freshman: Biology Honors
Sophomore: Chemistry Honors
Junior: Chemistry II or Physics
Senior: AP Biology or AP Chemistry

They’re pretty flexible, though. Here’s what I did:

Freshman: Physical Science
Sophomore: Biology, Chemistry Honors
Junior: Physics, Chemistry II, AP Biology

Freshman - Earth Science
Sophomore - Biology
Junior - Chemistry or Physics
Senior - Chemistry or Physics or nothing

You can deviate from that, though. I took Biology and Chemistry concurrently, and this year I’m taking AP Chemistry. Next year I’m taking Physics.

Freshman - Honors Biology
Sophomore - Honors Chemistry
Junior - Honors Physics plus AP Bio/AP Chem as an elective
Senior - AP Physics/AP Bio/AP Chem/Food Science/Forensics/Robotics

I took Honors Bio, Honors Chem, currently taking Honors Physics, and next year plan on taking Food Science/Forensics or possibly AP Physics.

9th: honors* or regular bio
10th: regular, honors, or AP chem*
11th: regular, honors, or AP physics B*, environmental science, anatomy, AP enviro
12th: AP bio, AP chem, AP physics B, AP physics C, AP enviro, anatomy honors, anatomy standard.

asterisks denote what the “upper group” takes. some seniors take 2 sciences, and many don’t take a science like myself.

9th: Integrated Science (low track), Regular Bio (required course),Astronomy/Geology (low track), Meterology (low track).
10th: Descriptive Chem (low track), Regular Chem (normal track), Regular Physics (some kids take alongside regular chem so they can take physics B junior year and physics C senior year :that’s what I did)
11th: Regular Physics (normal track), Honors Anatomy and Physiology, AP Physics B, AP Chemistry, AP Biology, and Botany (low track)
12: All those above, except seniors who have taken AP Physics B can take AP Physics C Mech, and E&M (except the classes are independent study classes).

I think there is quite some flexibility at my school regarding science classes, and I really enjoy it :)

9th: Honors Biology
10th: R/H Chem (and occasionally H Physics)
11th: H Phyiscs, AP Bio dbl period/ AP chem Dbl period (if physics taken then AP Physics B or C) and APES as elective
12th: What ever you want
*County requires Bio Chem and Physics to graduate

9th- Chem honors
10th- Bio honors or AP Chem (Must be in Pre calc)
11th- AP Bio or Physics Honors (Or both if you want, AP Chem students automatically take AP Bio), AP Enviormental for the less “smart” students
12th- AP Physics C if you took Physics Honors, Any other AP science you want to take.

= Optional
Freshman: AP Environmental Science and Honors Biology
Sophomore: Honors Chemistry and AP Biology
Junior: AP Physics B, AP Chemistry, AP Biology
Senior: AP Physics C, AP Chemistry, AP Biology*
