What Science sequence did you have when you were in high school?

I am a sophomore. I am interested in what everyone else has taken.

My Classes:

9th grade: Integrated Science( which taught me nothing) and Biology
10th grade: Chem 1 and Chem 2 right now( Chem is awesome)

Plans for the future:
11th grade: AP Chem and AP Physics C
12th grade: AP Biology

My school is a magnet school and sort of sceince based so we take Physics sophomore year and have a lab period of science each year two so I've basically taken/ will take:

9th: Earth, Space, Life Science + Lab
10th: Physics Honors + Lab
11th: Honors Chem + Lab
12th: AP Biology + Lab

9th- PIB Biology, physics honors
10th- PIB Chemistry
11th- IB Chemistry SL, IB Biology HL
12th- AP Chemistry, IB Biology HL, AP Physics

9th - Earth Science Honors
10th - AP Biology
11th - AP Environmental Science
12th - AP Chemistry

Most people are taking AP Physics next year but I'm not really going to do it because i'm afraid of my GPA getting killed because of it and I'm not really going to be a Science major in college. I am a Sophomore right now.

9th: integrated science/marine bio
10th: AP bio
11th: AP chem
12th: AP physics

alluringcliche: Wow, your school kind of does it the other way around huh?
I would actually prefer your schools way. That would be so cool to take physics first. But no, I go to Salem High School in NH. Our school doesnt let us take physics 1 and 2 until junior year. I got bored of waiting. So next year, I will take AP Physics C or B. Hopefully, I can study and finish AP Calc 1 at least during the summer with my friend, Ash, so we can take C next year.

9 Phys/Chem H
10 Bio H
11 Chem H
12 AP Bio/Chem/Enviro/Physics

Can double up on Bio & Chem. My school has crazy amounts of pre-reqs.

9th- Biology
10th- Chemistry
11th- AP Chemistry
12the- AP Biology

That's it, no physics for me!

nyyben: Wow, so you are not going to major in science?? The science classes still look pretty impressive for someone not looking in the science field. I guess you better play it safe. For you, I guess not taking Ap Physics was a smart choice. I've heard from others that it is pretty hard.

What Colleges are you guys have in mind??

nyben: how was environmental science??

swim2daend: PIB, IB, HL?? What do these mean??

I have these colleges in mind at this point.

Tufts University
Boston University
Brandeis University
Columbia University
George Washington University
Georgetown University
College of William and Mary
New York University

heh, I wouldn't know yet. I'm taking AP Bio right now. I have it down as a course request for next year. I have heard from friends that have taken it that their are a lot of field trips and a good amount of projects. I'm looking forward to it.

Ok, cool. Keep in contact with me. My friend wants to take the AP ES test. Let me know how it is when you take the class.

9th - Biology Enriched
10th - Chemistry Enriched (technically, it's supposed to be chemistry/physics, but our teacher tries to teach as little physics as possible).
11th - AP Chemistry, AP Biology
12th - Physics at some college

shravas: You are only taking one semester of chemistry and going directly into AP Chem?? And the Physics, AP physics? B? C?

9th-Regents Biology
10th-Honors Chem
11th-AP/honors Physics
12th-choice of AP Bio or AP Chem...but since the AP Bio teacher is crazy maniac that destroys your life senior year while the AP Chem teacher is fair and gets everyone similar score results to the AP Bio teacher, I'll go with AP Chem

YAAA AP Chem is so much better than AP Biology. Great decision, I think. I know what you mean too, My AP Calc teachers like that and hes a jerk. So, I am probably going to do CATS Program at UNH, basically take Calc1 and2 at a UNH

So regents biology, whats that??

for me:
freshman-honors biology
sophomore-honors chem
junior-honors physics
senior-most likely AP Chem

Wow, chaostheory, thats quite impressive. So I guess your one year ahead of me!! AP BIO EXAM??, self study? or did you take biology in middle school??

What? I didn't post anything. :D
