I'm a High School Junior from Nevada at a Career and Technical Academy. My transcript so far says I have a 3.5 UW GPA but due to my numerous honors classes and APUSH class this year, my Weighted is 4.125. I know that both UC and CSU count AP for extra weight when they measure GPA for admission (I know about A-G too) but do they count my honors classes for weight? A 3.8-3.9 pretty much secures me for a school like SDSU but if they calculate a 3.3-3.4, my chances go down considerably. Anyone care to help me figure this out? Thanks in Advance...

[CSUMentor - Plan for College - High School Students - GPA Calculator](<a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>Cal State Apply | CSU) says:

So I guess not? An SDSU admissions counselor who came to my school said it all depends on what the course outline says…

The UCs and CSUs don’t do qualifying of honors courses in other states. As a result, you do not get any weighting of honors courses if you are out of state, only of AP courses. Thus, your GPA for evaluation for admission will be significantly less than that 4.125.
