How good are penn st and wiscosin's business schools. Also, could i get in?

have 3.6 GPA unweighted in a very good public high school in Connecticut. Weighted it is probably about 3.8. I got a
31 on my ACT. I also have a very high interest in sports and athletics. I got a 3.24 freshman year. Then a 3.52 sophmore and a 4.0 junior year. I have take 4 honors classes.

My extra curricular activities consist of

Tennis (high school, captain, 2 time state and division champs, usta tournaments (made it to 60 in new england), usta team tennis)

Buddy tennis which is helping disabled children to learn a sport and mostly have a good time

A couple of runs for diseases such as cancer, leukemia, athsma, etc.

Counselor in training at Nike Tennis camps
5.President of Korea club south (just a random club for fun)

I have a sports blog on facebook and a sports instagram page with over 3500 followers

40 hours of community service in africa

Helped renovate an old history site in my town
9 Book Club

Worked part time at my racket club

Recieved the english award for my grade

Creator of foursquare club in my school

I still have a whole year to add onto this list with many other athletic related things and academic things.

I can’t speak for PSU, but UW has Grainger Hall as the home of the business school. It’s right near the southeast dorms and is a cool edifice.

Wisconsin is top-20 in a lot of programs (Econ, Psych, Sociology, etc.); the three mentioned here are integral to an all-around business education.

Any broad comparison of UW vs. PSU in academic strength/rep will end up with UW on top… undergrad and grad levels. UW’s individual programs tend to be ranked ahead of PSU’s.

And yes – you’d likely get into both schools.

@prezbucky‌ do u think i could get into umich kinesiology?

I don’t know – I think 3.6 is a bit low to get into U Mich out of state, but others will know more about that. Your 31 is good.

I will say, if you applied to UW, PSU and Michigan, you would likely get into at least one of them. As long as you can afford the cost, you’d be going to a good school with many strong programs.
