Trying to decide whether to apply to Columbia in the fall. My family is upper-middle class, but our budget is tight, as we’ve had a lot of unexpected expenses over the last two years. Is Columbia generous with aid? I’ve been finding conflicting information.
Also, Columbia only gives need-based aid, correct?
Only need based aid, but very generous.
Have you run their Net Price Calculator? For most applicants it tends to be a pretty fair estimate - none of the NPC’s seem to handle complex family business assets well, but they do listen and are very fair.

I always forget to check the NPC. Columbia’s seems to be down for maintenance though.
