<p>One of the big things most people have to worry about when applying for colleges is whether they can afford it or not. A lot of big schools are extremely helpful when it comes to paying for college. How helpful is Georgia Tech when it comes to paying for college?</p>
<p>It starts off good...then goes a little downhill. My freshman year I got an out of state grant for about 5k each semester. Now in my third year, that number has been cut in half. They really help you out your freshman year (probably to get you to go there) then it seems they just cut it down more and more each year thereafter.</p>
<p>But if you're in-state, try and get HOPE.</p>
<p>I'm in Tennessee. So close to getting the HOPE, but so far. Plus, out-of-state tuition really makes Georgia Tech pretty pricey. People who live in Georgia can go there for a great price.</p>
