How good is Northeastern?

Good number of students @Madison from Boston. They don’t seem to complain much.
Madison is colder but far less cloudy,snowy/rainy in winter. Sunny and 20 can be nicer than 35 and rain/sleet. I live in Seattle now, trust me.

^^^^I have noticed that often barrons travelling west of Lake Michigan in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Illinois. The most depressing thing about winter in m Michigan is not so much the snow and cold, but rather the seemingly endless gray days east of the big lake.

I’m curious as to why you would stay away from the Midwest…

The schools I’ve chosen (purdue, uiuc) are in the middle of nowhere and the towns are small. I’m an international student (currently living in singapore) so Boston appeals more to me because of its diverse community, its more urban and is a nice college town with like 4 colleges in it.

I’m not strictly staying away from midwest. If I get into UIUC i’ll probably go there, maybe even purdue, but NU’s location is just amazing.

My daughter is not in the engineering program , but Bouve and has had an awesome experience all around at NEU. Yes , the winters are rough , but she isn’t bothered by that. She has gotten a well rounded education , has just been hired for her second co op and has had great opportunities because she chose this school. She has truly made the most of what the school has to offer in every aspect
Can’t say enough about how happy we all are with Northeastern

I just sat in an information session at NEU…they claim that 98-99percent of new grads are either employed or in grad school within 9 months of graduation even in this economic climate. Every parent in the audience took notice.
