I would rate my happiness as a SIX, most of happiness comes from my social life and relationship status (single :(!).

Sleep: 6-7 during school & ~10 during the summer
GPA: 3.8 UW & 4.2 W at an uncompetitive public school

Sleep: 6-7 during school & ~10 during the summer
GPA: 3.8 UW & 4.2 W at an uncompetitive public school

my school has out of 100 so my average has been 95
i get 3-4 hours of sleep

but that was middle school, so it might get worse this year =/

Um…I sleep A LOT in the summer, like 8-10 hours, and I’m hoping to get 7.5 hours a night this coming school year but last yr was more like 6. Not because of homework or anything, I just have no self control when it comes to going to bed early. Last year’s GPA was a 4.0.

I’d rate my happiness as around 7? 7-8 over the summer and 6.5-7 over the school year maybe? Stress, I think is the biggest factor when it comes to happiness, so I need to avoid stressing over things, which is kind of hard.

Happiness: 6 or 7
GPA: 3.9
Sleep: during the school year 4-6, during the summer 7-13. hehe.

Right now? 8. I get about 8 hours of sleep over the summer.

During the school year?
Anywhere from 3-8, at least based on last year. Mostly on the more happy side, though.
GPA: 98 (I don’t know how to convert to a 4.0 scale, and my school doesn’t give grades that way.)
Sleep: 6-6.5 hours.

During the school year:
-7
-4-5ish
-4.0

During the summer:
-9
-8-9ish
-(4.0)

Yeah, Lily the Slut, 4.0 club!

Why do you consider this to be a lot? I’m not personally attacking you or anything, you’re free to hold your op but, 8~9 hours is average time for a teenager, and the recommendation is 9~10 hours for teens as well…so “A LOT”, I think…that is supposed to be normal.

I consider 14~16 “A LOT”, by somewhat objective standards, but meh. I guess you meant “A LOT” by CC standards. ;)

Why the (censored) is everyones GPA so high? … I can’t wait to get straight A’s this year, I need to bring it up to CC’s standard.

invoyable, 8~9 hours is a lot for me lol. but nice with the cc standards
gotta give you props for giving new meaning to very very insightful and intellectual words LOL
well i get your point if you’re applying that to summer, because i go all the way and sleep 10~13 hours a day to compensate for all the hours i couldn’t dream sniff

all the kids at my school sleep about 4 hours a night, partially because we slack off but mostly because we’ve got too much work and it bugs us to no limit. the sleep’s gotten better starting from the last six months but like i mentioned a lonngg time ago in some post far far away (in this thread, dur XD) high school’s started so this average stays the same.

No. I meant during schooltime too, I sleep 9~10 hours during schooltime.

I know from reading somewhere that teens aren’t getting much sleep nowadays, but the average and recommended hours are still 9~10, regardless of whether it’s summer or schooltime (although the former, it certainly goes up..xD)

I shouldn’t have said much, considering this is CC, but I’m sure a different sample would yield different results… ;)

lol btw im not trying to offend you XD i just like to say what i think, especially if im not going to get arrested or something :)

but wow, that’s a lot o_O lately im doing 3 thanks to insomnia XD (not the person.. the actual condition LOL)
but hopefully it’ll pay off when im doing major cramming (best studying at night lol)

“and recommended hours are still 9~10”

Wrong. Recommended sleeping hours are 6-7. Anything lower/higher will lead to a faster rate of death. I could give you more evidence, but, I’m just so fatigued at this moment.

Ouch. :(

You’re the wrong one, I said teenagers, not…adults or whatever. Show me a link or ANY evidence that says teenagers should sleep 6~7 hours everyday.

And the statistics that say “people who sleep 5~7 hours tend to live longer” with all the diseased people inclusive and not accounting for thousands of other factors and attributing them to tendencies, is pretty laughable in the first place (I.E. disease, family problems, stress, etc…just a sample “tendency correlation” not basing any other facts is..)

Happiness level: 9/10 overall (not including random bouts of anger at horrid drivers).

Sleep: ranges from 5 hours (days I have to work) to 10 hours (days I have no work)

GPA (high school): 3.8 unweighted, 4.02 weighted
senior year: 4.0
(even with senioritis, aka doing nothing at all)

My grades don’t really make me happy. I am not as happy if I get below an A, but I don’t freak out over stuff because I know what I’m capable of. I don’t solely depend on others/outside things to make me happy, I just am a happy person in general. What affects my overall happiness the most is:

1) how much productive alone time I have
2) how much I hang out with my friends
3) how much time I spend just anticipating the future

1

6 hours

4.1/4.0 UW

I am awesome

Happiness: 5-7, with occasional short dips to 2 or 3
Sleep Hours: [School] 6-7 / Summer:[6-10]
GPA: 3.76 UW

GPA, friends, family, money and drugs are the main contributing factors to my happiness.

Happiness: 7/8

Sleep: 5-6 (school) 6-7 (summer). I could sleep more over summer, but I party way too much.

4.0 UW

H: 6
Sleep: 7/8 hours (School has started)

4.75w

H: 5.7(i’m unhappy, but i know i should be happier b/c technically i’m a pretty lucky person w. all four limbs intact, etc.)
S: 7-9 hrs
~4( can’t remember exactly) gpa
