OK so heres the deal I have a 3.87GPA i'm in my second year of community college and signed up for ucf yesterday..............now my main problem is that even though i have a pretty good GPA i havent done college algebra yet because i am immensly bad at math my last report i got was A,A,A,B and an F in math. I passed all required college english courses........do you think they would give me a chance

If you have a 3.87...i assure they will look over one bad grade...have an excuse for it whatever it may be...

I am fairly positive that you HAVE to pass college algebra. They may let you into UCF but you cannot graduate without having fulfilled the math gen ed requirements.

o i kno i will have to pass college algebra to graduate UCF but will UCF accept me and make me do the college algebra there

I think you have to have passed it before you can get into UCF. In fact, I believe that you must have 2 math courses before you can get into UCF as a transfer. I found this quote on the UCF FAQ website (about transfers):

"Students who will have earned 60 or more semester hours of college credit prior to entering UCF will be required to have a minimum 2.0 GPA from the last school attended, a competitive overall 2.5 GPA, completed two English Compostition courses, two math courses College Algebra level and higher, and have met foreign language admission requirements."

You do know that you cannot get an AA degree in Florida without having passed 2 math classes (6 credits)? FYI though, Statistics does count as a math.

i dont have an associates degree or 60 hours of credit so i dont fall into that category

So you are trying to transfer in as a second semester sophomore? If that is true, you could get in but you will need to take your two math classes this spring/summer.

yea i guess if i have to they would put me into the summer semester
