How hard is this class? Has anyone taken it? How much work is it? How many times a week do you meet? Is there recitiation and a lot of hw? Compare difficulty to calc? Thanks a lot.

what statistic are you talking about? (specific subject's stat?) But, from what you say I'll assume it's AMS 102 Elements of Statistic. From my friend's experience, it is quite hard. With a lot of work involved. Depending on your professor, it usually meets 2x a week or 3x a week. No recitation. A lot of homeworks, about 10-15 questions each. There are quizzes involved.

Is that the most basic stats class? I have AP Calculus AB credit and so I will take Calculus II and prob stats second semester. Any advice?

So basically the verdict is for me to stay w/ calc the whole year b/c stats is really hard.

I'm guessing you actually mean AMS 110, stat for bio majors?

It's not really hard. It's a pain, but not really hard.

Are exams hard and are you allowed to use a calculator? Is it better to have a prof teach it or a TA?
