The APs I will be taking in my junior year are Psychology, Chemistry and United States History. How hard would it be to take these three APs concurrently? How much harder would it be if I learn Precalculus on my own this summer and add AP Calc BC to my schedule? Would 4 APs be significantly harder?

I feel like 3 APs is too average, that's why I wanna make it at least 4. I wanna take AP Biology too but I heard the new Bio exam is a lot harder and I doubt I can handle that with Chemistry. Is it harder to take the 3 APs+AP Bio or 3 APs+Calc BC?

Did you take any AP in sophomore year? It may be tough to have AP Chem, APUSH, and AP Calc BC together for a junior if you have never taken any AP before. APUSH requires a lot of writing and homework. On the other hand, your original plan with 3 AP looks more manageable. After all, it will depend on the learning capacity of each student.

I had similar schedule junior year, except instead of APUSH I had Micro/Macro and AP Lang. Shouldn’t be too difficult at all. I didn’t self study pre-calc, I just took it in 10th grade. Since you’re going to take Calc BC, really study pre-calc hard. Becoming affluent in trig, vectors, polars, and parametrics is key. I would recommend taking Calc BC over AP bio, just because having a AP math class is good.

I took APUSH, psych, bio, calc AB, and english lang. and comp. last year (with hopefully all 5s), along with soccer, swimming, tennis, boyscouts (almost Eagle!), and work part-time. It’s possible. I’m sure you can do it.

The new Bio exam is more like a ACT science subsection than previous years-as long as you learn how to design experiments and analyze data, along with a decent background in bio, you should be good. The AP test this year was pretty easy, but time will tell if it gets harder.

the AP test was “easy” ^^^^^^^?!?! Only 5.4% got 5s compared to the 20+% who used to! Though it may have been “easier” than the past ones, as I felt it was too, it definitely was not easier to get a 5.

It really depends on the school. AP Biology is hard EVERYWHERE, even so like this guy^^^ said, the AP test still has low avg. scores. Psychology is easy everywhere and APUSH really depends.

It helped that our teacher did a lab designed class, and a lot of traditional work combined. I did 10+ labs this year and learned all of the traditional material, just less in depth.
