How I got a 2300+ (for Old SAT)

@Suly99 Sorry to hear that :frowning: It could be the brutal curve on this test, or perhaps this test/day wasn’t the best for you. Though I say practice tests are a great way to practice, the scores on the actual thing can vary. I hope next time is better for you!

@shadyconcepts A couple of weeks ago, I received my SAT test scores from the Nov SAT. I did pretty well considering it was my first time (2000+), but I know I could have done a lot better. Especially in the Writing section; whenever I take a practice section I was always end up getting 46/49 or 45/49 and i want to bump this up to at least a 48/49. Do you have any advice/tips on that? Also I want to bump up my CR score so it at least a 700, any tips? BTW I am planning on taking my last SAT on Jan 23, 2015.

@muzzles you can find all the books online you know…

@ananpatel Sorry for the late response! Again, I recommend going over Erica Meltzer’s books, especially for Writing, again once more to score just a bit higher. At this point you are already getting very good scores on Writing so going that extra mile should not be too difficult. For critical reading, keep on practicing your reading skills by reading newspapers, reading comprehension passages, etc. Keep in mind the original suggestions I made in the post about CR  Good luck and let me know how it goes!
