how important is a resume?

Hi everyone, I'm going to be a HS senior in the fall and I'm trying to prep myself as much as possible for my upcoming auditions.
Singing is most definitely my strong suit. I've been in high level choirs for over 11 years. I'm a good dancer, with some ballet and jazz training. My experience with acting is not as extensive, however. I've done some plays and musicals throughout my middle school and elementary school days but I have only done one musical in high school... I was focusing more on choir, cross country, and track my early years. Not to sound snobby or anything, but I do know that I can act. I've always had a natural ability. Not saying its spectacular or anything. I just didn't feel like dealing with hs acting politics and with a twin sister, it was too expensive for me to do outside productions.
Anyways, I was wondering if this lack of musical theater activity will inhibit my chances of getting into an MY program? I'm going for amda(voice teacher said I'll get in for sure), western Michigan, Webster, Oklahoma city university, and marymount Manhattan. I can't afford auditioning at more than 5. But PLEASE help me! I think I have a good amount of the technique just not a lot of experience... I'd especially like to know how important the resume is to wmu, ocu, Webster, and mmc.
Thanks so much!

If you sing, dance and act well you will be fine. Lack of an extensive resume should not be an impairment if your audition demonstrates you have the right stuff. Good luck.

Based on our experience with the application and audition process at OCU, it will be about your voice at the audition. You will be able to make your resume look just fine to be in the running. Its a BM program and they place heavy emphasis on the voice part of audition. No dance call. Best wishes.

Thanks so much! It’s nice to not have to stress out as much, in any way possible!
