How important is it to take physics during high school? Like instead of physics do ap bio or ap chem

Extraordinarily important, physics will make chemistry and to a lesser extent bio much easier to understand

I’ve heard of colleges rejecting outstanding students for not taking physics.

Why not take a glimpse into understanding how the physical world works?

Well, you don’t exactly want to go off to college not knowing what Newton’s Second Law is.

On the other hand, you should go do whatever you enjoy more, and AP Chem or Bio aren’t bad replacements.

Out of all the people in my school that have gotten into or waitlisted at top colleges, I think I’m the only one who took an actual physics class. But it might have something to do with the fact that you probably won’t even learn Newton’s Second Law in the highest level of physics offered at my school.

Physics will help you in upper level science classes. I’m taking Physics Hon & AP Chem next year.
