<p>I really don’t know too much about Brandeis, but I know it’s a research university. Are there a lot of required math and science classes? I like English and the arts but do not like math, science and laboratory environments. Would I dislike Brandeis for that reason?</p>

<p>I’m going to be an incoming freshman and planning on majoring in english and econ so I can help you out a bit. There are required classes–one for each school at brandeis–but there are ways around this. For example, intro to economics covers your quantitative reasoning (or science in normal terms) requirement. Also, you can take a super easy math class such as pre-calc to satisfy the requirement. They have an excellent English department and offer some really interesting classes. Pretty much any subject you want to study has an awesome department actually.</p>
