How is Dartmouth such a high-ranking school...

I think I have an example that my help the OP

High school in south Louisiana
3 kids in highs school- two of whom scored 34 (good friends of mine) and one who scored a 36 (yours truly) on the ACT. One of the girls with a 34 never ever drinks, one socially on occasion, and i go through a case of domestics a weekend. The drinking thing is a personal preference and doesn't necessarily have any effect on academics or intellectual curiosity. Some people were raised this way, and some like to kick back and have a drink. I don't think that it is something you should worry about intensely

THIS IS WHY:

The drinkers (like me) are just as worried about people like you looking down on us for being drunkards (i dont mean this in a derogatory way) as you seem to be concerned about not fitting in with drinkers.

Dartmouth is multi cultural, and (from what people have told me) it seems that individuals arent usually singled out because of dfferences because thats what makes the school so special.

BTW, im sorry if i mis-characterized you, this just seemed like the case, I really only had the best intentions =)

OP......go have beer.....then have four more and you'll understand

"OP......go have beer.....then have four more and you'll understand"

I swear, that's what I said. I'd have a beer right now, except I'm going to class. They should put beer in the drink machines. Awesome.

When everybody has a beer in hand we are all multicultural and multilingual.

To be blunt OP, that was a really stupid question. Not everyone who drinks is the stereotypical oafish frat guy.

agreed with jamesford

so has the Op reached some sort of anagnorisis yet or whattt???
