<p>Yes. Very strong. Bio is especially strong and popular. Engineering, Chem, and Physics are smaller depts. Swarthmore is the sixth largest per capita producer of future science, math, and engineering PhDs in the country.</p>

<p>Swarthmore students are extremely diverse ethnically. There are so many different ethnicities and cultures represented in the student body that it is difficult to say much **in general **except that Swarthmore students tend to be very smart.</p>
<p>why don't you search the forum for "premed", "science", "campus culture"... People get tired of answering the same questions over and over...</p>
<p>Swat's science programs are excellent, and students are respected and sought by med schools (additionally, graduates find that they are extremely well prepared for the rigors of med school).</p>
