<p>I know only one transfer student well enough, personally, to comment. In her case, the need-based aid was excellent. Better than expected, I believe, and that was <em>before</em> the no-loan packages were introduced. Now that the package is no-loan, it would truly be hard to beat.</p>
<p>However, this student really is a top student, great record in high school and at the original university. Whether or not that makes a difference when students are transferring, I can’t say for sure.</p>
