How is the math department at Binghamton?

<p>How is the math department at Binghamton?Do the faculty give much attention to undergraduate students?</p>

<p>To answer your questions...I think the Math department at Binghamton is pretty good, although I am really not sure if it is nationally ranked.</p>

<p>The Faculty do pay attention to undergrads because Math isn't a huge graduate program at Bing. However, the intro classes can be pretty big and are often taught by professors from either India or China.</p>

<p>I would say in this order from best to least:</p>

<p>1) Computer Science
2) Economics
3) Physics</p>

<p>Physics isn't terribly big and there aren't many students in the program. Economics and Finance are pretty good programs. If you go to school for economics, or finance, and do well your most likely guaranteed a job in NYC for one of the big four accounting firms. I would say Computer Science is first only because IBM started in the bing area and there are some connections for computer science through Bing U.</p>
