Second year - Fall semester

Materials and Engineering Balances - 4 credit hours
Differential Equations - 4 credit hours
Organic Chemistry I - 3 credit hours
Organic Chemistry I Lab - 2 credit hours

Total of 13 credit hours.

I'm want to take a Spanish class to refresh my memory before I go study abroad. Would adding a Spanish class make this schedule more difficult? I know OChem isn't the easiest nor is differential equations so I wouldn't want Spanish to limit the amount of studying time for my major courses.

What were your experiences in the courses? Any tips?

Looks okay. Everybody says o-chem is a really hard course because of the memorization. I don’t consider diffy q’s a “tough” tough course. Classical mechanics and honors quantum, THOSE were “tough” tough. I don’t know what that first one is…:::googling:::…doesn’t look too bad. Since you imply you already know Spanish and just want a refresher, adding it on couldn’t hurt. If things look tough, drop it early enough and the it’ll never show up on your transcript.

Thank you!

Yes, I know Spanish. I haven’t spoken it for a while but previously I’ve learned Spanish for about 5+ years.

I looked into the Spanish course and it would add about 5 credit hours to my total. I’m not sure if it would be worth taking 18 credit hours even though I’d know the majority of it.
