How is Trinity College for undergraduate Physics study?

I wanted to pursue my undergraduate study as an intended Physics student in Trinity College. There were two things I considered before deciding to apply in an early decision to the college:
1.The amount of financial aid it provides to the international student( I am from Nepal)
2. The chance of acceptance( the acceptance rate for early decision applicants)

I went through the college website, then clicked the physics department section and came to know that the college has been remarkable in terms of physics for undergrad(as it says), but is there anyone here from the college or perhaps an alumni, who can help me in my decision? Thank you in advance.

So Trinity promises to meet 100% of calculated need demonstrated by the FAFSA and CSS profile but I would recommend reaching out to someone in the financial aid department for more information on financial aid and especially if you are applying as an international student. In terms of acceptance rates, we usually receive around 7,000 applications for 600 spots.

Trinity’s physics program is subpar at best, at least this is what my friends, who were/are physics majors at Trinity, say. When you research a college’s physics program, don’t start with the college’s website as it will paint a very flattering picture of the program. Instead, compare the courses offered and the research conducted at Trinity with those of LACs that are known for their physics programs. Talk to students who actually go to these schools, and have them connect you with the physics majors.

That said, Trinity is very generous to international students. It includes, however, a $5k loan in its aid package, so know that even if you get a full ride at the school, you will be graduating with $20k in debt. If you go to grad school, the repayment of this loan/interest accumulation does not start until you get your master’s/doctorate degree. Loans are not something to be worried about, though, as going to this school would still be a great opportunity.

I suspect ED will give you an edge, even if you are an international seeking aid. The RD process is just a nightmare in terms of numbers.

@International95 Yes I tried that few months ago. I came in contact with some students and alumni from Trinity College and they said that the Physics program was good at Trinity. In comparison to other LACs out there, they offer rigorous physics program. Now, this makes me totally confused. Of course the websites are flattering. And, forum like this is a great great place to know every ins and outs about colleges. Thank you for your comment!
