This was a school that does not send likely letters or have rolling decision

On the Kenyon website, it says that decision is mailed on April 1. However in reality, the decision is mailed out at around March 5-9.

It's scary to see that admissions people work all the way past 12am in the morning for around 1-2 weeks so as to get the decision sent out asap. I know that because every time I walk past the admissions office on my way back to my dorm after staying at the library, the lights at the admissions office are always on...

Think about it this way: if you get your decision a week early, you're happy (or sad), but you don't have any real complaints. If you get it a week late, not only are you anxious for that entire week, but if you're rejected, then you feel even more let down. By setting the announced date later than earlier, colleges are trying to avoid any problems like that. Also, if something unexpected occurs, then there will be some leeway time for the admissions office to catch up and still meet a later deadline.

Wow, Kenyon sends their replies early. 9 days and counting.
