I just sent my application for UChicago and NW (had to wait for October ACT results) How long do you guys estimate it will take. I heard somewhere that they will tell you in March, but thats a long ways away!

They tell you at the end of March.

Really? Crap. Oh well, thanks for the answer.

I know exaxctly how you feel. It really stinks having to wait so long for an answer but oh well...

I thought it wasn't til April 15?

I think that's about the latest time. However, I've heard that they've been getting them done by early April recently.

you will find out on April 1st

If you check your decision through the mail, you probably won't know until April 1st. However, they let RDers check their decisions online in the app. services area on the website once they have sent out the letters (and they tell them it's there through an e-mail). I e-mailed one of the admissions officers at Northwestern, and he said that they don't have a set date to when they will do this as of now. However, he also said that it will probably be sometime around the end of March.

I'm probably going to end up checking it online because I don't think I'll be able to keep my sanity of waiting a few more days to know if I have a "yes" or a "no," especially if I know that I can find out sooner than that (and especially after frantically waiting for several months to get a decision in the first place).

I applied ED, but I think this question has to do with either ED or RD..

"app. services area on the website once they have sent out the letters (and they tell them it's there through an e-mail)."

So.. they don't actually tell you whether or not you've been admitted via email, they just tell you that the decision is available online?

Thanks!

I think so.
