How long have you posted on CC?

This is mostly a pointless thread I'm making out of boredom. I'm guessing most people post for about a year right before they get into college, then never come on here again (as you should).

So, how long have you been posting?

1 day, i created my account like 15 minutes ago because I had a question about Units at Cal

since april! this is actually a useful forum for me for lots of advice about berkeley, even when i don't ask the questions!

Since november/december. At first, I logged into cc because I was nervous about early admission decisions. Now that I'm relatively more relaxed/less stressed out, I log on to help out and answer questions for people like the 2 months ago me.

Since March 2007, a few weeks before I got admitted

Kinda happened to me. I still visit every now and then to ask/answer questions. Four years, I guess.

Oh yeah, I remember you from a few years back. Good times.

A ridiculously long time.

I started posting when I was a sophomore or junior in high school (old forum). I'm now a 5th year at Cal.

I don't know why I haven't gone away. Probably because I feel like I have to do something about all this irrelevant knowledge about the college admissions process.

That and because graduate school is always looming on the horizon, something requiring far more specialized preparation than admissions for undergrad.

And I like the Parents on CC. :p

I don't even know. That's why I'm posting. And then I'll look at the join date. Feel free to join me. Ahah.

I was so intimidated the first time I came here though. Everyone was like chance me!!! followed by a laundry list of excellent academics, SAT scores, and extra currics. (I only had sports, music and newspaper going for me.)

But the topics here can be helpful, which is why I check every now and then.

Ive been posting here since sophomore of high school. now a first year here. Great forum.

I started lurking as a HS junior, and posting as a HS senior; currently a first-year.

I joined as a junior in high school, and now I'm a sophomore here. Reading CC was an experience that either dashed or raised my hopes of getting into Cal since I was terribly anxious about applying to the school since it was/is my dream school. Outside of the CC bubble, you start to realize how meaningless things like SAT2 scores or afterschool activities are.

you win.

btw, we all have "join dates"

I discovered this forum a few weeks into my freshman year, and since then it has been 1.5 years. =)

My "join date" is a little off because August 2004 is the date the new board came into being.

I am definitely a dinosaur here. :D

Oops.

Oh well, share the story of how you first started posting!

My "join date" is November 2007, but I didn't create an account until I needed to ask a question or was able to contribute to a thread. So maybe at least a year before that I started viewing the information on CC. So all in all, have been on here for at least 2.5 years and I'm a 2nd year. I'll probably be on here until I graduate (and maybe later) haha.

I am a parent of a Berkeley senior and other kids as well, I started in 1999 on the PR & CC boards  and continue to research info to help them with their grad school apps. DDs would never come on any board like this, but they appreciate the info I have learned, esp my kid applying for med school as Berkeley does not have great advising for this. Berkeley DD also answers questions for me posed on this board as she is an alumni scholar
